Da' Bills

A new musical comedy by the team of

Kenny Glanden and Jim Newton.

It seems like another fruitless Bills season. It's been almost a decade since they last made an appearance in the Superbowl.  This year they can't even win a preseason game.  Charlie Bascomb and his friends are down again.  Then along comes a man, B. L. Zebub,  who can promise a victory.  He talks to Charlie about his fondest desires and promises a Superbowl victory, all Charlie has to do is sign a contract to forfeit his soul.  Being the clever stockbroker, Charlie gets an out clause written and agrees.  Charlie becomes Wayne Payne from caribou, Maine and the Bills top field goal kicker.

From that point on the Bills are a super team, and one of Gloria's girl friends, Barb Fancy, buys the Bills to get her man, the coach.  When Charlie has second thoughts, BL Zebub brings in his best operative, Chastity Notme to use her wiles and looks to convince Wayne to forget about his wife, Gloria and give up his soul.  Chastity however, falls for Wayne, and conspires to help him win the big Superbowl game and return to Gloria.

But best laid plans go awry, and B. L. arrives in time to change Wayne back to Charlie as he's about to kick the tying field goal to send the Superbowl into overtime.  Charlie's kick is blocked, but he recovers the ball and scores the winning touchdown. Charlie returns to Gloria and she sings to him, as B. L. is thwarted from getting Charlie's soul because of Charlie's and Gloria's love for each other.

See Da’ Bills, a new musical comedy with book and lyrics by Jim Newton (a long suffering Buffalo Bills fan), and music by Kenny Glanden.
